These terms apply to bin-cleaning services provided by BinLIFE USA LLC (“BinLIFE USA,” “we,” “us”) and to your use of binlifeusa.com. By enrolling in a plan, booking a cleaning or using our website, you agree to these terms.
1. Our service
We clean, sanitize and deodorize residential trash and recycling bins (“carts”) at your curb, using specialized equipment that lifts and turns each bin to wash it inside and out. Service is offered in the areas listed on our website and is confirmed for your address before booking.
2. Bin condition and pre-existing damage
Many bins are several years old and have been handled thousands of times by collection trucks, weather and sun. Before cleaning, our technicians do a quick visual check of each bin.
- Pre-existing damage is not our responsibility. This includes cracks, splits, holes, warped or broken lids, broken or missing hinges, wheels, axles or handles, and fading or brittle plastic.
- We may photograph bins before and after service to document their condition.
- If a bin looks unsafe to lift (for example, a cracked body, loose wheels or a broken lid), we may skip cleaning that bin and let you know. You won’t be charged for a bin we don’t clean.
- If you know a bin is damaged, please tell us before your visit.
3. Normal wear and handling by our equipment
Our equipment grips and lifts bins the same way a garbage truck’s arm does. With normal use, this can cause minor scuffs or marks. We are not responsible for:
- cosmetic scuffs, scratches or marks from normal lifting and washing;
- failure of a bin that was already weakened, brittle, cracked or near the end of its life;
- damage to stickers, labels, decals or paint on the bin;
- damage caused by collection trucks, weather, animals or anyone else before or after our visit.
4. If we damage a bin
If a bin is damaged because of our negligence during service:
- Contact us within 48 hours of your cleaning at info@BinLifeUSA.com or 860-770-5777, with photos if you can.
- We’ll review the claim, including any service photos, and respond promptly.
- If we’re at fault, we’ll repair the bin, help you obtain a replacement, or reimburse the reasonable cost of a comparable replacement, at our choice.
Town- or city-owned bins: in many communities, bins belong to the town or hauler. If an approved claim involves one of these bins, we’ll work with you on the replacement process and cover the replacement fee, where one applies.
5. Your responsibilities
- Leave bins at the curb or agreed location after they’ve been emptied, on your scheduled service day.
- Make sure bins are reachable and not blocked by vehicles, gates, snow banks or other objects.
- Bins should be empty. If a bin still contains trash or bags, we may skip it or charge an extra handling fee.
- Do not place hazardous materials, chemicals, needles, paint or animal waste in bins before a cleaning.
- Keep pets secured while we’re working nearby.
6. Missed or skipped cleanings
If we can’t clean a bin because it wasn’t put out, wasn’t emptied, was blocked, or was unsafe to lift, the visit may still count toward your plan. We’ll try to let you know, and where possible we’ll offer a make-up visit.
7. Weather and scheduling
We may reschedule for severe weather, freezing temperatures, holidays, collection-day changes or equipment issues. We’ll notify you of any change and reschedule as soon as practical.
8. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Recurring plans have no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime before your next billing date; cancellation takes effect for future visits.
- Prices are shown on our website and confirmed when you enroll. We’ll give notice before any price change to an active plan.
- Add-on and special services are billed in addition to your cleaning price.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total responsibility for any claim related to our service is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing the affected bin, or a refund of the fee paid for that cleaning, whichever applies. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Connecticut law that can’t be waived.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services grow. We’ll post the updated version here and change the effective date above. Continuing to use our service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
